I can certainly recommend Esther's course. She provides very clear explanations accompanied by practical exercises. I learned a lot about composition and the use of color. I love this course! Esther is so zen and organized and explains and demonstrates how to create abstract paintings in easy to understand steps. I love the exercises in color theory and was able to create some paintings that I was surprised by. I’ve been away from painting for a bit due to life stuff but have recently come back to it and am continuing the journey with Esther! You will love this course. It is not overwhelming has been super fun and has been very valuable at helping me to get past my fear of failure when painting! Here is a watercolor I created yesterday after diving back into the course and watching the videos on composition and color story.

She covers all concepts, step by step with printable samples and further shows you how to apply these concepts while actually painting. Thank you Esther for creating this course! It has been such a valuable learning curve for me. I have attempted abstract painting many times to no avail, getting lost in a muddy process and leaving me feeling less confident. This course gave me the tools to understand composition at a new level, the importance of intentionality and new mediums I have so enjoyed. The colour theory has helped me to create more sophisticated palettes, deepening my understanding of the use of neutrals, value, and how colour is used to create an impactful focal point. I am posting my first attempt; a painting inspired by a holiday to Corfu, Greece last spring. With so much gratitude for you Esther, for sharing your knowledge, experience and gift of art.

Esther's "Confident Abstracts" is the best online art course I have ever done. It covers every aspect of planning, painting and finishing art works. It's the best investment I've made and my work has improved 1000 fold. It's as though I have finally "got it". I now feel far more confident and am developing my own style. Esther brings her lovely warm personality to the class and you also get to meet her husband and their Dachshund (Eden is still in utero 😊). She is so talented and inspiring. I highly recommend this art course to anyone, whether a newbie or experienced artist.

I've seen many abstract paintings and most of all has no meaning ,but Esther has something you could find very rarely, composition , beautiful color palette and a painting with a real story and meaning. The course is the same, very provocative for me as a realist painter ( in watercolor), and a pleasure to make the lessons( I do them in a gouashe medium). I found myself lost in my painting for hours even are just only studies. It is structured on composition and you will find quite plenty ideas.

Confident Abstracts teaches on so many different levels using paint, collage, mark making, stencils, and much more. Everything you need in one course instead of surfing around for different teachers to find techniques to make your artwork cohesive and interesting.
I highly recommend this course to anyone. Artist or art collector. It is a comprehensive art program that explains clearly many different nuances that make a painting successful. I am thinking this is probably way better than art school with specific instruction rather than lots of random theory. This is all useful information, user friendly and Esther is a gifted teacher as well as a brilliant artist. We are so fortunate that she is willing to share her knowledge with all of us. I am learning so much from this course and will watch it many times to digest all of the wonderful information it contains.

This course is the absolute best art course I have taken. It is comprehensive, easy to follow, excellent teaching, etc. I cannot say enough good things about it. I am a self taught artist who has taken a module here and there and that means that there were huge gaps in my knowledge and ability to produce art.
